Veronica is a Public Affairs Associate at Above Public Affairs and a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her B.A. in Government. Her experience spans political research abroad, various immigration-focused research initiatives, and public and foreign affairs journalism.
Before joining Above, she spent time as a Gallup Research Fellow, in a fellowship with the Babel Institute, and tracked a wide breadth of issues, including First Amendment, demographic representation in legislatures, and policy frameworks in UT’s Global Policy Research Lab. Alongside her research, Veronica has built a strong record in public service. As Clerk for UT’s Student Government Assembly, she tracked legislation for more than 40 student representatives and as a member of the Liberal Arts Council’s Policy Committee she co-authored legislation on student housing. Fluent in Spanish and reading Portuguese, she brings sharp research instincts and real experience to her work.
Veronica is a sixth-generation Texan from Dallas and enjoys embroidery and 90s rock.
